THOR : Ragnarok | Hela-riously Fun Without Even Trying



It's the second day of screening of Thor: Ragnarok today in the Philippines and since I was a bit stressed at work I decided to treat myself. I know it's not payday yet but even with my dwindling resources I marched to the ticket booth and asked for a ticket. Lo and behold I walked away from the booth with an IMAX ticket (so much for being frugal). I bought the IMAX one because SM Cinema (in Clark) is offering 100 pesos off Thor: Ragnarok's IMAX tickets, so why not take it.

This installment is mainly about the prophecy of Ragnarok or the destruction of Asgard. Of course would not let that happen, right? But then Hela the Goddess of Death came along and destroyed Thor's Mighty Hammer. What's worse was he got thrown into a planet where he became gladiator/slave and meets a friend of his who is green all over (and I am not talking about Shrek here). So the question for those who haven't seen the movie is can Thor save his beloved Asgard? Well you will have to watch the movie to find out.

 If you do decide to watch the movie (which I strongly advice you watch it) try it in IMAX. Trust me, you would not regret being broke after. LOL. It was a very light and comedic movie with a plot twist that I should never mention here. Oh man, the HULK. He has been the sober HULK that I have ever seen in movies. He talks! He also acts like a six year old boy which is funny and cute at the same time. Then there's Loki, yeah Loki. He is still naughty and mischievous as always. I honestly think Thor should consider being a comedian. He's really funny without even trying. Plus points for getting rid of the long hair. And you would not want to joke around Hela; she's the Goddess of Death because her stare could actually kill. 

I need not say more. I enjoyed the movie and I am pretty sure you will too. Like I said, catch it on IMAX and you will not regret it. Oh yeah, you'll also see Dr. Strange on the movie too. Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino | A Festival of Movies by Filipinos for Filipinos

Picture taken from Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino FB page Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipno as per their Facebook page is " A nationwide week-long celebration where all movie theaters will exclusively screen Filipino films in line with the Buwan ng Wika. This festive event is organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines in partnership with theaters nationwide and will run from August 16-22, 2017." This year the festival will screen 12 full length films of different genres. Some of them were already screened outside the Philippines and some already bagged international awards.
