Annabelle: Creation | Origins of Creepy Horror

Hey guys! Sorry if I have not had an entry lately as I have been busy being an adult. LOL! Anyway, here is my first horror movie entry for my blog. Honestly, I am not a fan of horror movies as I cringe every time there is a horrific suspense scenes. I was just glad that the cinema was packed with movie-goers that their reactions make me laughed and distracted me from the horrors on the screen.

I think we all know Annabelle; the doll that has evil connections and first appeared in the movie "The Conjuring". Since the doll got the audience terrified, she got her solo movie titled "Annabelle". Now, the origins of the demonic doll has been further explored in "Annabelle: Creation". The doll was made by Samuel Mullin in 1943. After his daughter died in a road accident, he and his wife Esther did everything to connect with their daughter's spirit. That was how the doll became a conduit for the evil spirit but the horrors have been contained when the couple had the doll blessed.

Twelve years after, the couple invited six orphan girls to stay at their house as an act of penance for what they did but a day after the girls moved in, weird things started to happen. By far, this has been one of the best origin movies I saw as it also hinted another character that could be subject to another origin movie in the future. The audience seemed to enjoy the movie as well based on the screams I heard. What I also like about this movie is that the suspense scene is preceded with long quite scenes making it more effective a scare for me personally. The movie also has mid-credit and post-credit scenes so better stay if you still can. You might have a different feeling when you hear "You are my Shine" on your playlist. Let me know if you enjoyed the heart-pumping movie by commenting on this post. Byers!
